Over the years, I have read limited works, most notably of those that have paid a great price for following Jesus Christ. In Luke Jesus said “if any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.” There are endless stories, some surviving, being passed down for generations while others have perished, forever untold with the passing of the saints. Christian persecution, over the years bears many scars of horrific physical torture, degradation beyond compare and of course the ultimate sacrifice, death. This cross, born by these individuals, leaves an undulating trail of tears, soil laden with the remnants of bloodstain and beckons us with its passion to take hold of the same as it is carefully placed onto our shoulders, passed from one to another with great care.
It is here that I shall share whatever the Lord places on my heart…hoping that it will encourage, challenge and uplift those that desire nothing less than intimacy with Christ and the privilege to pick up His cross.
Jesus…That’s all!
